What age groups can benefit from lingual orthodontics?

Age is not a factor; however it may be more difficult to apply the braces on very small teeth.
This can only be determined by the orthodontist based on the complexity of the problem. Usually it takes between 6 to 20 months.
Since the advent of high technology appliances, patients need only to come in once every 8-12 weeks.
'Just as with traditional braces or clear aligners, you may experience discomfort for the first few days. This can be avoided or alleviated with the use of wax, pain relief tablets and eating softer foods.
More time and care are required while wearing any type of braces, but lingual braces are actually proven to be safer, since the inside of teeth is more resistant to decalcification.
